COVID-19 (2/19/2024) Updates for Volunteers, Actors, and Staff
In keeping with current health and safety guidelines, as of 12/3/23, Forge Theatre’s Board has repealed its prior policy regarding vaccination requirements for cast, crew, and volunteers. Forge Theatre will now enforce a new policy pertaining to testing procedures in the event of positive tests for the COVID-19 virus amongst cast, crew, and volunteers, effective immediately.
The Board will review these policies on an ongoing basis and may update at any time, based upon County, State, and Federal recommendations.
Vaccinations for the COVID-19 virus are no longer required for participation in Forge Theatre activities, but vaccinations for all common communicable diseases are encouraged in order to reduce both community spread of illness and disruption to Forge Theatre activities.
Forge Theatre will follow CDC guidelines (May 2023 update) regarding symptoms of illness and positive tests for the COVID-19 virus.

COVID-19 (12/3/2023) Updates for Volunteers, Actors and Staff
At the 12/3/23 Board meeting, it was decided via majority with a quorum present, to repeal the existing COVID-19 policy requiring vaccination for volunteers, actors, and staff, effective immediately. The Board is currently working to pass a new policy regarding cast/crew/volunteer positive tests for the COVID-19 virus. This policy will be circulated to the membership and season subscribers and be made visible to the public on Forge Theatre’s website. Forge Theatre has recently upgraded the air ventilation for the theatre with the installation of Ozone Air Purifiers
Based on County, State, and Federal recommendations, to keep all participants safe, the Board has implemented the following policy:
All Volunteers, Actors, and Staff must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination to participate in Forge Theatre auditions, productions, and other indoor activities. Volunteers are no longer required to wear masks but my do so at their own choosing.
The Board will continue to monitor the CDC recommendations and update as needed.

At this time, Forge Theatre has lifted the requirement for all audience members to be fully vaccinated when attending productions at Forge Theatre. Masks are no longer required for audience members while in the theatre. Audience members who would prefer to wear a mask may do so at their own choosing. Our actors and volunteers will continue to be required to be vaccinated. Please note, actors will not be masked during performances. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to care for the health and safety of our patrons and our actors.

- Participants in in-person Forge Theatre activities (cast, crew, and volunteers) are expected to be aware of and to abide by CDC guidance if they exhibit symptoms of illness and/or test positive for the COVID-19 virus.
- Participants in Forge Theatre activities should not attend in-person rehearsals, meetings, or other theatre activities if they are ill or have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
- Participants should make their director, committee chair, or volunteer coordinator aware of their illness and/or positive test so the leader of the participant’s activity can follow CDC guidelines regarding isolation, and if relevant, exposure and testing for other involved participants.
- Directors, committee chairs, and volunteer coordinators should make the COVID policy Board representative aware of any positive tests amongst their participants so said representative can offer assistance to follow the policy.
